In this article for Scientific Reports, entitled "Fabrication of Fluorescent pH-Responsive Protein-Textile Composites", we report the design of a textile-supported pH sensor based on engineered fluorescent protein fibers. The sensor can be used to monitor the pH of sweat or other fluids over time and in a reversible manner.
